ladies in lavender

If you want a job doing, and doing properly, trust it to the little old ladies. The pastel pensioners, the Devon violet volunteers, the ladies who don't have time to lunch.

They've sewn quilts, sold bric-a-brac, held jumble sales and made copious amounts of jam to raise funds for anything. This time it's for the dispossessed in the horn of Africa.
Bless their crocheted bed-jackets, they do an admirable job.
