Ready for school

Rubbish weather today.

We went out this afternoon to buy school shoes for the children and took the opportunity to look at winter coats so that we don't have the problem that we had last year, i.e. the decent ones have all gone by the time you need them.

Anyway the blip above represents £200 of clothing items, some of which will have to be replaced by Christmas at the latest. I used to think that sensible purchasing could keep down the cost of running children but buying shoes and coats and the like that need to be replaced as these little creatures expand make it very expensive indeed.

At least now we won't have the last minute panic to get things for school in a couple of weeks.
