The Mums' Rose

This was taken very early this morning and is the morning dew on this rose which is officially titled 'The Mayflower'.

It was given to me and Mr H by some friends to remember our Mums by. Both Mums have passed away, Mr H's Mum more recently.

Poor rose, it was planted out a few weeks ago and I think it was feeling the strain a bit. However, I looked out this morning and saw that it had this lovely bloom.

I got my toes wet in the dew, as I took the pic. Worth dashing out to the garden for, I think. The weather quickly turned to rain, though I didn't see much of that at work.
