Years & Months

Today was a very special day in the Stout family. Today marked Jim and Tina's 31st wedding anniversary. Awesome! These two are the epitome of what true love is. High school sweethearts...still going strong!

Not only that, Aubree and Trav are celebrating their 1 year anniversary, (tomorrow)...and my babe and I just passed 6 months on the 2nd.

To celebrate the special day, we all headed down to La Jolla shores to watch the sunset and eat torpedos, (from Lido's, the Stout's favorite little Italian restaurant, in Lemon Grove). Oh, and we had Ding Dongs for dessert! Jim's idea. :D It was a little overcast today, so the sunset wasn't exactly visible, but we knew it was there. Lucky for us, we're San Diegans, so this wasn't our first beachfront sunset. ;)

Sun or no sun, we had a splendid night, hanging out, catching up. It's always a good time with my babe and his family.

If it weren't for the annoying animal we brought with, (my otherwise precious dog, Lily), it would have been even better. ;)

I feel that this picture depicts what relationships are all about; what life is all about. Sometimes rocky, sometimes wavy and exhilarating...sometimes calm with smooth sailing. Sometimes, the sun might not always be out, but have faith and patience, and it will peek its bright face through the clouds once again. I suppose that's God's metaphorical reminder: the clouds come in to cover up the sunshine so we appreciate it's warmth and beauty when it's there. Not every day is perfect, but it's still special in it's own way.

Take life as it comes and enjoy it while it lasts.
