Mr. I Don't Have a Care In The World
I need to take lessons from this guy. So does his lifelong pal, Hannah, who can't stay still long enough for a blip.
Hannah is a real scare-dee-cat when it comes to lightening and thunder (plenty of that this evening), often found hiding in the smallest, darkest space she can fit herself into, like our half bath or under a porch. Poor thing. Hines on the other hand gets caught up in the thrill, often barking and trotting around, announcing something fantastic is happening, though he may not know exactly what it is.
Unfortunately, if the dogs don't get proper excersize and attention, they both can get a bit neurotic, which usually happens when their almighty master alpha dog (aka, my sweetheart) is absent from the family scene. And that has been the case all week.I have noticed that the kids are having a hard time sleeping at night because of his absence, but the dogs really kick it up a notch. I do my best to take his place, but they know the difference. No fooling these guys.
Funny, I am not having any sleeping issues. Quite exhausted by day's end.
