This threw me totally ...

When dunging my paddock I came across this. I thought at first it was a caterpillar or slug with some sort of fungal growth. On researching I found it WAS a fungal growth - but the 'caterpillar' is the growth itself. It's 'Pucinia Urticaria' - Nettle Rust. Fascinating thing though ....
