Charlie

This is Charlie a shihtzu/pom cross who we've just rehomed from the Dogs Trust. He's going to be a great companion for my mum and company for me on walks in the countryside.

Underneath all the fluff he's a tiny little thing and is quiet and waggy so far.

The service from the Dogs Trust is fantastic. Your garden is checked in advance and on rehoming day all new owners are given a talk about behaviour and training. Each dog is neutered, wormed and defleaed. The £80 fee includes all this, a collar and lead with tags, a bag of food and training cd and any support they can offer when you need it.

I urge anyone considering a dog to look at a rehoming centre. The papers are full of puppies that will, sadly, probably end up being rehomed at some point anyway. The excellent and caring staff really help to match up dogs to potential owners.

He's already asleep on the rug with a toy meercat :)
