Conwy Castle
Conwy Castle is one of the ring of Castles that Edward 1st built to keep the Welsh contained. I'm afraid it didn't work. They were all over the place!
Finished some 720 years ago it is still impressive and in a couple of days I think I'll go over to Caernarfon Castle.
The other interesting thing is you can still walk along the town walls. You can't help wondering what events have taken place along those walls over the passing centuries.
The photo was taken from the walls just before they get to the river.
