Tendril
Thoroughly grim day today, so was glad to have to go no further than my own hallway for today's ffoto. In the relative darkness, this tendril was outlined against the window, creeping stealthily across the pane, and I was struck by its strange other-worldliness against the saturated, synthetic frosted flowers on the glass. It reminded me of Lockwood's famous nightmare in Wuthering Heights where the branches tapping on the window convince him that the ghost of Cathy has returned. It's one of my favourite scenes in my favourite book - if you haven't read it, read it! It's quite unlike anything else that's ever been published, before or since.
