This old church is being refurbished and converted, I assume, into a private home. I noticed this raven come along and perch on the little tower.

I had walked the shore , more on a bird-watching walk than a photographic one. There were five red-throated divers on the Sound and flocks of curlew and greylag geese. I noticed some consternation among a group of waders and the cause swooped around a corner of rock and within twenty metres...a beautiful hen harrier. The females and juveniles look very similar and I suspect that this was a youngster; an adult would probably have seen me. It was too close and swift for me to even attempt a photo, I just enjoyed the view.
