Vrrrroooommmm

I'm sure he's winking...

C escaped ;-) xx to go for a bit of hair and retail therapy, leaving me to face a walking? talking RC dalek and a gurgling animatronic panda...oh, and the two little people operating them. Even Milly hid somewhere outside to escape the cacophony!

Was amused to see aforementioned panda hurtling past the apartment, sat in the back of H's bright yellow Tonka truck, with H and F in hot pursuit, shrieking and giggling.

Dad appeared just before lunch, affording the opportunity for F and H to show off their new acquisitions (see above) and for Dad to show off his new toy, a shiny red BMW K1600GT. F and H wasted no time in asking if they could sit on it and surprisingly, there were no arguments over who sat up front and who took the pillion.

Amused to hear Dad comment, as he swung his leg over the bike before leaving, that he could do with my legs (cue worrying image) - it's a big bike and he's a short Scotsman (sorry Dad!). Have to confess to a few minutes of bike lust - it would fit me perfectly!

After lunch it was off to Skipton pool for some inflatable assault course action (think Total Wipeout for kids), followed by some adult chat about triathlon over coffee and cake.

Home again, home again, jiggety jig and time for a film and dinner...followed by today's bout of guinea pig wrestling.

Just come off the phone to C having tried to reassure her that the giant spider behind her curtains isn't going to eat her (I don't think I helped much!) and tried to articulate the slightly disconcerting effects of not talking to many adults for 3 days (sorry C, Dad and J and IVT). It's ace spending so much time with the little people and we have had 3 lovely days but the reduced amount of adult contact versus a normal week and the general manic hurtling around, has left me feeling a little like the world is leaving me behind. It struck me when I chatted with C earlier on this evening, that I actually didn't have an awful lot to say for myself. I know all of this is probably what anyone that cares for their kids full time experiences, so I should probably MTFU and quit whingeing but it is a little troubling. Ho hum....

The Smurfs Movie tomorrow...bring it on! :-)

Bonne nuit!!
