Fishing!

Our lovely mate Dwight invited us out fishing with him today. We left from Maraetai, and made our way gradually around the whole of Waiheke Island. It was FABULOUS!!! The weather was corker, and, although the wind picked up at the end of the day, everyone had fun.

This big John Dory was our only keeper of the day. He's rather a glorious specimen, coming out of the water, I thought that the lads had landed a sea monster as all the spikes were out. He'd had his eye on the 23cm (not keeper sized) Snapper that Dwight had on the line. He didn't let go of it quick enough, so the Husband had out the net, and his swimming time was over.

We're all home, red cheeked, body achy and happy.
