Leith walks
We've now given the new shoes a first outing and jolly good they were too. Kept my feet and knees in a good position. A good 55 min stomp around the paths was leavened by a few amusing dogs puffing to keep up with their mums and dads and Mr Heron looking suitably imperious standing at the bottom of Bonnington Weir.
Going to spend most of the rest of the day in pretty mundane practical stuff getting for tomorrow's Icelandic expedition. Is this the cue for another outpouring of volcanic ash? I do hope not.
This is a brick chimney near the incinerator/ rubbish depot on Bonnington Road. We wonder if it is something to do with the railway. It now stands on its own, and it has always intrigued me.
