I see the sun!

Day spent exploring our new surrounds. Based in Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val in the Gorges de l' Aveyron, it was spectacular. Our gite was within walking distance of town, a medieval mixture of aching loveliness and natural beauty.

We relished the sun and its warmth. We have endured such cold and wet summers over the last four years so the feel of the heat was incredibly intoxicating to us all.

With the temperatures nudging 30 degrees by late afternoon it was time for a trip to the local pool. It threw me straight back in to my childhood, endless summer days in Auckland, NZ swimming outside under the blue sky - perfect.
