Walk this way

Derbyshire blot on the landscape

This morning, I walked 5.56 miles at Parson Russell terrier speed, woof factor 9 to start with, then more like impulse speed on the last mile.
I still need to do another 5 miles this afternoon with daughters on their bikes, they didn't inherit the walking gene.

We walk along a disused mining railway track, sufficiently rural to avoid people and cars whilst still enjoying wildlife and glorious natural scenery. We used to add about 3 miles to the present track but Derbyshire County Council, allowed acres of rural splendour to be bulldozed and used for open cast mining. What a shame, this is the resulting eyesore.:-(
