Political games

You see lots of these statues all over Armenia and the capital Yerevan. They are usually of revolutionaries and political figures.

This one is of Armenia's first prime minister and stands at the main crossroads in Yerevan ... At this moment we are at Opera Square watching the closing ceremony of the pan Armenien games, which is the equivalent of the Olympics here. Armenians from all over the world come here to compete.

The current prime minister is here to close the games. ;-) xx
