Ex-Laptop

My laptop, which has been tempremental to say the least for the last few months, will not start up at all now. Not even with a boot CD in, which I'm thinking means it is not the hard drive which is broken. Any way I took it apart to retrieve the RAM and said hard drive before consigning the rest of it to the tip when I discovered that there is fluff on the little helipad. No wonder it has not been working...
