On the beach

After a lazy day in the garden yesterday, we fancied some sea air, so headed to the East Lothian coast. A good pub lunch then a walk through the dunes to Gullane beach. It was a glorious day, with blue sky, ever-changing cloud patterns and the sun glinting off the sea. There were plenty people around, including about half a dozen kite-surfers and a couple of windsurfers. All seemed pretty competent, skidding along the tops of the waves at tremendous speed and occasionally lifting clear of the water altogether. As the kites are quite high above the surfers, it is difficult to capture in a frame, but this give some idea of the fun.
