Carry on camping!

Smarts obviously decided he had had enough of agility shows and camping and wanted a proper bed for the night so he staged a spectacular if not a little worrying collapse and was carted of to hospital in an ambulance for 24 hours! Luckily there were medics at the event and the first responder was there very quickly to administer oxygen and standby with the defib....luckily it wasn't needed! He was kept in overnight as he had an MI two years ago but it the end it was put down to the excesses of the holiday coupled with a dramatic drop in blood pressure after he had taken a squirt of his GTN spray...he wont do that again in a hurry!! Glad to report that we are now safely home and he is feeling a right as rain. It was a horribly scary experience and one I do not wish to repeat!!

I should also mention up until that point things were going very well..Miage went clear in her first run and landed up with a 15th place (150 dogs in the class) and Wilfy got a 13th place...not bad for an old timer!! Cant wait to go back next year and do it all again...possibly without Smarts!!
