So we are winding our way down through the alleys and paths of the village towards the river and we come across this bike. We stop and between us compliment the 'owners' (not that we met them!) for such loveliness and such a great use of an old bike, planting the basket with herbs and of course wishing that we could do that and it would look just so, well lovely against our houses.

However of course it had gone on our return trip as it was no artfully placed prop to add a sense of beauty but a fully functional bike, laden with market bought herbs making a stop at friends on its journey home.

Holidays are so good for romanticising life aren't they!
