perfect day

A perfect day for us!

Sunny and hot, so we enjoyed 3 1/2 hours of canoeing down a river. As this was a big part of my past and in fact with my eldest as a 3 - 6 month old baby, I was the 'shuttle bunny' that used to drop off river rafters and kayakers for their river trips when we lived in Switzerland - it was great being back on the river, this time with the children!

Finished off with a leisurely lunch outside, a swim, ice creams and a cold beer it was all rather wonderful and indeed perfect - as no doubt it was for the newly wed couple who were married in the village church and had this wonderful heart shaped confetti that the kids enjoyed 're-throwing'!
