flower within a flower

nature never fails to surprise me...

i passed a potted planter of flowers on my walk today...

spotted an intriguing tiny purple hued gem inside... snap, snap... as i attempted to take a close-up

a bit of playing around with processing - and doesn't it appear that there's a flower within the flower? kind of looks like a mini carnation... right?

so here's not one - but 2 - flowers for you today...
