Swans on the Ouse
... where my brother and his wife took us for a short cruise in their boat: so relaxing and quiet. Saw lots of terns, swooping and diving; two herons - one on the bank and one in the middle of a meadow; oodles of swallows; cattle, knee-deep in the river, boozing the Ouse; wonderful weeping willows with their deep reflections; a picture-postcard row of thatched cottages at Holywell, alongside the river: so many potential blips - which to choose? Finally settled on this lovely line-up of swans. They all looked so similar and yet so individual in their attitudes and occupations - all enjoying a peaceful Sunday morning. Hope you did, too!
Thanks for all your lovely comments yesterday. It's so typically kind of you fellow-blippers to share in my excitement.
