Apart from the mosquitoes that I mentioned a couple of blips ago, these wasps were particularly numerous and bold. In fact, one of them crawled under the neck of my T-shirt as I was leaning forward, then stung me when I sat back up. Right on one of my swollen infected mozzy bites.

They do look a bit smart on this flowerhead, though.
This was on one of the huge network of marked walking trails in the area. The paths were as busy as a motorway on Monday (a public holiday in Belgium)
