More Beetles

Don't sit under the Hibiscus Tree...
With anyone else but me.

A busy day. Family dinner. Instead of it being at our house...my daughter and son-in-law held it at their new house. My wife had to cook the barbeque, but my daughter did make her soon-to-be-famous caramel apple salad. I overheard her proudly giving the recipe out. The way she's starting to cook...maybe my limited chef skills are being passed along.

I took the beetle picture out in her front yard. They are chewing up everything in sight. Pollen is hanging all over the one beetle. The standing stem looks like small cauliflower pieces. I know they are destructive...but that sure is a pretty green.

A lazy day. Now I'm going to watch The Proposal and Remember the Titans. I switch back and forth when the commercials come on. I'm also going to get on the lap-top, and do a little planning for my upcoming trip. My dad and my 2 sisters and I are heading out west. They lovingly leave the details and destinations to me.

Speaking of my sister...she tried to lie about it...but...tommorrow she is six decades old. Happy Birthday Sis!!
