White Bay Power Station

Dropped in to catch up with my sister in Balmain this afternoon.
Was waiting to turn off the main road, wound down the window and snapped this.
White Bay Power Station is on a huge area of land 2 kms from the Sydney CBD, and has been derelict for many years. It last operated in 1984.

Apparently there are as yet no plans for it, but it is unlikely that such a prime piece of real estate will sit there much longer. It is under the control of the Harbour Foreshore Authority, so it's possible that some, at least will be parkland or such.

We shall see.
