For those who follow the spectacle of my life from time to time, there has been a happy ending to my chipped progressive lens story recounted yesterday. The replacement is covered by insurance that I didn't know I had (just within its year's limit) and I don't have to hand in the frames until the lens is ready in about 10 days!
