Potters of Buxton
After dinner last night, we took another walk around the centre of Buxton, spotting this small independent department store. I took this early on this morning, before they pulled down the awnings to protect the window displays from the sun.
Potter's has a quaintness about it, unlike the cloned shops that are on almost every High Street in the UK. There is certainly nothing like it in any of the towns local to my own home.
Potter's fashions were dated, aimed at a much more mature market than in most shops. However, there has to be something for everyone on the high street, and that is something that is lacking at the moment. I hope that it manages to stay in business for many years to come.
