Planes, trains and automobiles!

Ok now this is getting a tad irate, went to board our flight again for the 2nd time and .... They refused to let us onboard as it was overbooked AGAIN!

Only this time the airline was extremely unhelpful and utterly obnoxious. We were left stranded at the airport, no help or info given. The airline rep just walked off mid sentence. She actually told us to go away as it wasn't her problem. (she needs to check the airlines policy a little bit more, we did)

So we jumped in a cab, headed to down town Yerevan (all 6 of us. Complete with luggage) straight to the airline main office. Told them we were camping out there until they sorted it out. (that's the abridged version)

Surprisingly we are now in yerevans top 5 star hotel, although it's lovely I just want to get home now. The boys visa runs out at midnight and this is causing major problems. They went to get it extended, but were told it takes 3 days??? The British embassy here are to put it politely CRAP! No help whatsoever!

So now we are "booked" on a flight at 5.25am Armenia time ... I'm not holding my breath though.

I tweeted my disgust at the Airline involved and surprisingly they responded and have promised a full enquiry ... I replied if I ever get out of here I'd be happy to provide details.

This has not ruined my time here, the Armenians are lovely and generous people. The local government and tourist dept perhaps need a little help.

Fingers crossed we actually get to leave ;-) xx
