Posers!

Tonight A, Ollie and I went down to the beach and this lot were lounging about on the rocks, posing for the tourists! Too early in the year for tourists so they had to make do with us.

These are common seals, and are quite approachable, and even curious, so long as you move slowly and don't try and get too close. As they are on the beach pretty close to the house, Ollie and I go down and see them quite regularly and they are used to seeing him running about the rocks and splashing about in the pools, and don't get too worried by him. Hoping this will it easier for me to get some shots of the baby seals, when they start pupping in the next month or so. Fingers crossed for some aaaah shots!


The beach behind them in on a different island, but you'll see there is a cemetery on that shore, mirroring the one on our island.
