Today we had such a great day. It was one of the community trips organised by 2 local Mums. We booked on this one to Woodlands adventure park on the edge of Dartmouth.
We were collected by coach at 8.30am and the coach ride there which I was dreading was brilliant. The children were so well behaved and quite happily rode the 1 1/2 hours there. Once there we headed first for the water slides which my two and Amelia loved and my neighbours boy Joshua adored!!! He would have rode them all day if he could. We had a couple of goes and then moved on and did pedal boats, rides, playparks, fish feeding, falconary display, assault course and this was all before lunch! After refueling on hot dogs we headed for the indoor soft play and this was where the children were all surprised when Daddy joined us. He had been hoping that the trip would land on his day off but sadly not, so when he finished his post round he jumped on his motorbike and drove to join us. Joshua especially was delighted by this as it meant there was someone to go on the scariest watercoaster with him. We headed to see some of the animals and had a tractor ride before going back to the waterslides. My two wanted to go again so Joshuas Mum went with Jack and I went with Erin whilst Darren and Joshua went on the twister!!! After that there were more rides, ice-cream, parks, assault course, swing ride, and visits to the shop before saying goodbye to Daddy and heading back onto the coach. The journey back was spent eating our picnic tea and chatting about our day.
We had a wonderful time and loved every minute of the day. The children are now fast asleep and I am drinking a glass of red wine before joining them. Can't wait for next years!!
