Pistoia Zoo

Originally we had not planned to go anywhere on the last full day of our holiday in Tuscany, but after the visit to Picollo Mondo yesterday turned out to be anything but a success and the girls were disappointed, we felt we had to have another great day before going home again.

The zoo in Pistoia was our target and we decided to make sure it was actually still there by checking on the internet before leaving. Sure enough the zoo was still there so we went.

It was another very hot day but also the great day we were aiming for. The girls loved the zoo and were very interested in all the animals. Here Martine is feeding an elephant. The girls didn't dare too and thought Martine was a real hero!

When we returned to the car the display said the temperature was 47 degrees Celcius. After driving for a while it turned out to be 'only' 33 degrees but I'd say that's hot enough!

Tomorrow we will pack our things and go home. Where did the last two weeks go? It feels like we arrived only four days ago...
