Herman the friendship cake - a slow food in prep!

Today's photo shows two batches of "Herman" the friendship cake, a sourdough culture used to bake a light sourdough fruitcake - the sourdough grows over 9 days of daily stirring and occasional feeding with flour, milk and sugar. Three quarters of the dough is given away on day 10 to 3 friends - hence "friendship cake". Tomorrow is day 10. Tomorrow we bake! Come back tomorrow and see the cake (if it works!)...
