Retail therapy

Today we made one of our rare trips into Newcastle to go shopping. Mum needed new sandals for her 90th birthday party, and possibly new trousers. I wanted to buy a new outfit for this auspicious occasion. We will also be attending a Golden Wedding party, a First Wedding Anniversary party, and a dinner, all in the week before Mum's birthday.

Well, we had great success. I was really keen to find an elegant dress; Mum was less convinced, since I usually wear trousers......... The dress is really beautiful and I'm thrilled with it.

The car boot was well filled by the end of the day. We are both very tired tonight. Good job we don't go shopping very often.
