Inductum
These are some of my early photographic works from years ago. My hobby in photography actually dates back to 1999, when I was in late middle school on the brink of starting high school.
I'm an old school photographer. I usually prefer using manual film camera, especially in black-and-white film. I also enjoy color photography only if they're the important element in a picture (sunsets, autumns). I preferred using manual over automatic cameras because the auto just takes away the burden of challenges (f-setting, lighting, filter, etc) that the manual 'imposes.' Well, that's the point of film photography. To me, the more challenge an artist face, the greater result, value, and integrity an artwork becomes.
It's why I usually think, as this may offend some, automatic camera are prone to make a person lazy, especially if they want to be an artist. All they had to do was to click the camera.
That grows into more branches of photography, the digital photography. My god, any one can do photography today. One can just take a picture, Photoshop it, and have that picture beat the crap out of a film picture that may have take one person up to 3 hours to process (darkroom, etc). How's that fair? I must keep in mind that digital photography and film photography should be in two different worlds, because of how they're processed and both manipulated much differently, and they should not be compared to each other. It's the same thing as trying to compare a painting to a film picture, and one exclaims that one is better than another. Art is not a competition, because they have their own categories and uniqueness.
But, I really don't care how a picture is processed, as long as it's something to look and admire at, anything can be art.
