Winter is coming to an end. This is my native hibiscus, a huge bush at the back of the garden, now covered in purple flowers.

I spent most of the day in the garden, chopping, trimming the jungle and then weeding the front garden. My job is not done yet.

Then we got an unexpected invitation to an impromptu barbie. Lovely surprise and a great dinner. It was cooked by the teenagers because the parents were celebrating their wedding anniversary with an enormous bottle of wine.
