Beautiful Bishopdale

Today was a beautiful day - amazing really, given that yesterday was full of weather warnings about an impending monster of a wet front approaching from the west...........

Fortuntaly for everyone here, it was a fizzer! A few flashes of lightning last night, a bit of rain overnight..............and beautiful sunshine and blue skies today! (although I understand things were a bit worse in the North Island)

No complaints from this part of the country though - for which I am very, very grateful indeed.


This church sits proudly on a small hill on the drive in to town. I've always loved it and it looks really spectacular at different times of the year - autumn being one of the more impressive. Couldn't resist a bit of a post-cardy blip today.
