Strokkur - the Churn

I've been doing something uncharacteristically touristy today - namely participating in a bus tour called "The Golden Circle". This takes you to many of the main sights which are close to Reykjavik: Skalholt church; Gullfoss waterfall; Geysir; and Thingvellir - site of the ancient Icelandic Parliament where the two plates meet (and separate by 7 cms per year). All very impressive. I was most pleased to capture the Geysir called Strokkur, or The Churn - doing its bit.

I'm pretty exhausted now, but I also need to work before I meet some friends for dinner. Probably won't get a chance to review others' journals and comments. Sorry about that.
