Postcard from Ainsdale .....

We decided on a trip to the coast, and as the weather was good, we headed out and ended up at Ainsdale Beach.

We walked over the dunes, and placed our little chairs to face the sun and never moved for four hours. We indulged in a spot of people watching , one of our my guilty pleasures !
The beach is lovely, a huge expanse of golden sand, which is clean, and safe for children to play on.
You can bring your car onto the beach, and we watched as an average sized family car parked a little way ahead from where we were sat.

At least I think it was car, judging by the contents it could have been a tardis.
First came Grandpa, then Grandma, followed by three small children, a dog, a tent, a windbreak, deckchairs. a small table, bats, balls, towels, picnic box, sunhats, swimming rings, .......... it was exhausting watching them get set up !

Anyway, today's picture is of my husband, trying to decide if he could be bothered to go for a paddle .........
