Put... the Candle... Back
Headed off for his first day of school today a mere child and returned home this afternoon a fully fledged teenager. They grow up quick round here.
"What happened at school today Euan?"
"Nuhin much."
Teenagedness seems to be kicking in nicely.
More than made up for though by his big sister ranting on about how the first year's under her charge are sooooooo annoying - partly because they followed her around like little emblazered collie dogs, partly because they made up a song about her and the lack of space between the top of her head and the ground. Apparently the concept of her being a 'big' sixth year was lost on them. I've sympathetically told her just to rise above it all but she's now watching a TV programme about dwarves all paranoid that she might never get any bigger.
Another year of celebrating my constant blip companion's birthday. Happy birthday Slug!
