Winter in late Summer

I am fortunate to work in the city centre and although the regeneration of retail areas has halted during the downturn,leaving lots of empty retail space, the new urban spaces and buildings that have gone up in Sheffield are great.

The Winter Garden is one example. A large, arched greenhouse in between a hotel and the Millennium Galleries, it is a pleasant place to sit or just pass through.

Fronted by a series of large steel balls (which will no doubt feature in a future blip) it sits adjacent to my workplace.
