Morning coffee
Woken by some noise a little earlier than usual so I tried to catch up on the email blitz (with some success) before heading out on my run through Westmere to the return run back through the series of parks. On the way down Garnet Road is this little cafe, open early and clearly the source of caffeine for these two cyclists after (presumably) their ride. Blue jacket had just emerged from ordering, and Reflective vest appears totally preoccupied with her mobile phone.
After my run and breakfast, I dealt with the financial matters (most hated job), and then wrote a report for a lawyer taking the rest of the day. A couple of brief breaks to collect grandboys from school and kindy respectively.
Then this evening off to hear all about ADHD, and try to put aside preconceived ideas about the existence (not) of adult onset ADHD. Met a colleague from Christchurch who had some tales to tell including one about how he and a neighbour with a serious illness patched holes in the roof of many an elderly neighbour using roofing iron he had hoarded for many years "just in case". The heart warming sense of community he almost casually described is so impressive.
Home now and to bed soon, as another day of busy stuff tomorrow.
