red flower.....

this lovely singular flower is standing right by the patio door......it's not a gladioli, can anyone help me out here....??

I love the curly bit..so tried to focus on that while keeping a softish focus....

the day began sunny...but it's clouding over now, the promised rain hasn't come yet...
