Behind the scenes

Well, hopes for a better today were only partly realised.

Had a nice wander up to the Royal Mile for the first time this festival. Actually enjoyed the atmosphere (perhaps because it didn't seem to be as busy as it has been) and the plenty photo opportunities. I had quite a few options for an image but liked this shot of a performer getting ready in less than glamorous surroundings.

As I was walking back to work I started to feel pretty horrible and got progressively worse as the day went on. This was rather annoying considering Susie had informed me that the new bike had arrived. So I haven't even managed to take it for a spin.
