Money, money, money...

Well, boring photo, but haven't taken any other photos today.

There are my new face paints. And expensive they are too. You are looking at well over £100 worth of goods. Scary, huh? Breaks my heart to spend so much money on 'paint', but needs must and all that. My recent work for sure start children's centres has meant LOTS of faces to paint with little time to do it. That's where 'one stroke' painting comes in; based on tole / barge painting techniques, it allows me to paint very simply, but it looks more complicated and detailed than it actually is - perfect for cheek art and getting through lots of faces in a short amount of time. It's all done by loading a brush along one of those paints, picking up all the colours in one go. Simples.

So despite my bank balance being a fair bit depleted, I do love my new paints and they are worth every penny.

In other news, today we all went swimming, I figured out lace knitting and completed part of a school cardigan for Maddy (quite an achievement since it had me very confused and I'm much more of a crocheter) and I completed the quilt I was making for Morgan (which I actually started a good year or more ago and put away in storage). I guess I should blip some photos of that, would have been more interesting than watching paint (dry). Maybe tomorrow, right now he's in bed snuggled up under it...
