A new stile for the forbidden path. It brings the saga full circle.

This path was created after the open cast mining in 1989 as a sop to the residents of Peartree for all the disruption the mining caused.A handful of residents and I have used it for almost 20 years when new owners blocked it off with barbed wire at both ends and a very officious security man. Despite letters from myself and pressure from the parish council (it is not an adopted footpath) it remained closed until 2 months ago when suddenly the wire was removed. It still left a high fence to climb but now even a stile has been provided - and a very nice one too.
