There's been a stunning public memorial growing all week at City Hall for Jack Layton (1950-2011)*. Most of it is written in chalk and it's raining like the dickens. Guarantee, people will be back tomorrow.

*For those who don't follow Canadian politics (which, shrug), Jack Layton took the New Democrats from way out on the margins to official opposition status during his stellar political career. NDP's sweep of Quebec and ridings over most of the country last election was thrilling to watch. (who's a nerd).
