Amish spider

Found an Iyengar Yoga center about 60 miles from Lewisburg, so I drove over this evening for a class. It felt so good to be back in that environment... felt like coming home. (I've been away from Iyengar yoga for a couple years because Indiana didn't have any.)

The drive's a bit long, but it takes me through rolling hills, then a state park in the mountains, and finally Amish country.

I stopped to take a photo of an Amish buggy sign, and found this beauty dangling from it (you can just barely see it in the photo of the sign).

Saw lots of beautiful buggies, too, including a bucolic view of a buggy leaving an Amish farm with the dog running ahead in the sunset. But I wasn't sure if there are rules about photographing them. They might feel like they are on display and not like it...although I photograph everyone I see who catches my eye so that really wouldn't be the reason.

Maybe next time...

Edit: I have since learned that their religion forbids them to 'pose' for a photo, but so long as they are not posing, photography is fine. Good to know...
