No Kikis harmed during the making of this photo.
So many opportunities for great pictures today!
Let's see - there was an awesome shot of the falling ceiling and water rings from what I'm calling "The Great Attic Flood of '11." That's right, most people have basements that flood, but not my family - we like to be different. On the upside, we salvaged buckets of water from an air-conditioning malfunction and used them to water our severely dehydrated bushes (more than 60 days over 100 degrees Fahrenheit and counting...).
Then there was the large limb that came crashing down from the 100' tall tree in our front yard. The bunches of tiny pecan clusters made a beautiful photo - and for those who know me and my hatred of squirrels, you'll understand why I'm happy they lost a lot of ammunition when that limb came down. Another upside is that pecan trees are 'self pruning', so this tree was just being nice and saved us from the expense of a tree trimmer (added bonus, not too much damage to the roof where it hit).
But, at the end of the day, it's this face that want to share with you. Kiki never fails to entertain - as you can see from his portfolio here and here and here.
Tonight he was getting a little nosey with the camera so I asked the kiddo to hold him back. I swear her hands were on his shoulders, not wrapped around his neck. But in my imagination, he carries this picture to me and says "remember when I was almost strangled?" So I feel guilty and give him and extra dollop of cat food. The next picture you see will be a 75 lb Kiki, I'm sure.
