Barrel Select

At Jack Daniel's distillery the barrels that sit at the top of the barrelhouses where the whiskey is aged tend to be exposed to wider environmental extremes and thus have more widely varying taste compared to the barrels at the bottom of the barrelhouses. Some of these are selected for tehir individual character and sold as Single Barrel Select. Unlike the standard No. 7 no two barrels are guaranteed to be the same and each bottle is labelled with teh barrel number,presumably so you can seek out more of the same if you like a particular barrel.

It's much nicer than Old No. 7.
